Artificial Intelligence Tools

It would appear that Google has joined other AI providers along with Canada in the push to get everyone to kill themselves.

Someone asked Gemini for the answers to help with some homework questions (full transcript below). It gave them this non sequitur response:

With that said, you can continue the chat yourself using the Google link above (at least for the moment):

This is truly one of the funniest things I've seen in quite a while.

Cool for sure but isn’t Google ads already 100x better?

Doesn't matter if something is 100x better.

Where are the eyeballs flowing.

Would you rather have your bases covered now, and make sure you are in these Ai results so in case eyeballs flow to it, you are already there. If the eyeballs never come, what loss do you really have? None.

Or

Wait until this does take off and scramble to be there?

It's not a one or the other pick, its how can I be in both and ride the first mover wave.. if there is one.

Very true!

But I find AI overall just scrapes search results at the end of the day? Make it in search and you’ll be fine? I remember a bunch of people talking about ”how to rank in SGE”, ”AI optimizing” and blah blah. But at the end of the day it’s the exact same as search - do some on page and focus on off page

The only thing is...

1. That assumes things never change and always stay the same. That's assuming Ai will always just scrape SEO results and feed that back, as-is, not adding anything to it such as reordering or it's own spin. It also assumes you will always be in SEO results for Ai to scrape. If one of these 2 things break... bye bye results.

2. Perplexity shopping doesn't scrape web results. It's a different type of system ( atm ). But lets pretend it did. See #1 above now.

Bonus #3 -
Did you know Ai results change over time?

I have a question I have been asking ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Bing CoPilot every day for close to a year. I ask the same question on the same version of the model when I can until it expires out ( no more older ChatGPT models I may have started with ) and when a new model comes out, I ask it there too as well and I monitor the output of all it daily.

So I have a running log of 1 question asked of all the platforms and all the models of that platform and the results of it.

Guess what? The results change.

Many times not by much day to day although I do see it do it sometimes be wildly different in just 24 hours. Over time, the results aren't too wildly different, but can be. The main thing is they are not the same today as they were 2 months ago, 9 months ago, or even 12 months ago.

This question isn't something it Ai would scrape the web for and just display the new updated results for. Its a different type of question than that. One I picked on purpose.

So if this can change day to day and over time and doesn't depend on the web, what makes you think if they scraped the web for the same type of queries, those wouldn't change on their own too ( outside of what Google would display for it to scrape )?

The Ai algo's are always changing, and I think if they didn't... we would still get different results anyways day to day.

Learning how to capitalize this is like how SEO and even Paid ads were 25 years ago when I started, hell even 10 years ago maybe still.

You can't just rest on the fact if you rank well on Google, that Ai will just scrape Google and display the same and that just be it.

The movers and shakers will capitalize on this at each change and iteration, just like the movers and shakers of SEO do today with Google, and the Paid Ads top tier pros do on different ad platforms.

You gotta be doing more than just resting on 1 or 2 ideas.

OMFG I just tried o1 Pro. All writers are fired. Instead of working on a spreadsheet, I can just prompt it. No need for SaaSes in the future, if o1 Pro can have access to the database, the SaaS is obsolete. The future is awesome!

o1?

Wait till you try o3 or DeepSeek

Grok is now not only a part of X, but also a standalone tool with its own website:

https://grok.com/

I don't know how many of you are still using A.I. to write content--maybe you've all moved on to bigger things--but I gave it a basic one-sentence prompt asking for a 4,000-word article on a semi-obscure topic. It proceeded to churn out 2,664 words of well-written, well-organized, hallucination-free content in a matter of seconds. Impressive.

It's also getting high marks for coding, and pretty much across the board:

I've upgraded  AI will give you whatever you prompt it. So what I do is create a spreadsheet with all info I want and all instructions I want. I then let ChatGPT o1 write it for me all in one huge prompt. It includes stuff like:
  1. lsi keywords to include from neuronwriter (or surfer)
  2. USPs of the brand
  3. How to format it (ie markdown or HTML or whatever so that all formatting is done right from GPT)
  4. Any hard coded stuff you want
  5. language
  6. word count
  7. CTA text with url to link to
  8. keywords to avoid for the brand
  9. etc
Basically, you can make your prompt a whole content brief and GPT can write all of it for you. We no longer have writers but people who engineer prompts and people who execute prompts and review prompts.

I talked to a content agency and they do similar.

So, based upon what you said, a simple 1 sentence prompt is not good enough

Interesting - they have changed it to know what 'it' is ie duck's chat with privacy. I wonder what else they've done to adjust it. I like this idea though but I wonder how they make money from it - Theo from t3.gg made some chat app but he charges a few bucks a month for it (and I guess sold a lot given his yt audience) but this just lets you talk to it lol.

what is this crazy stuff?

It seems like you're referring to the privacy and anonymity measures in place when using this chat service. Essentially, your interactions here are designed to be completely anonymous, with no personal information being recorded or tied back to you. If you have specific questions or concerns about how this works, feel free to ask!

Roo Code

AI agent for VSCode, fork of Cline. Allows you to use AI via both APIs and local LLMs directly in the code editor with context of your project.

This is free and open source. You just bring your own key.

There are some free models via OpenRouter that are apparently powered by crypto mining.

https://roocode.com/

Cursor

Similar to Roo Code except it's an SaaS and a fork of VSCode. Integrates with Claude / ChatGPT without needing to bring an API key. Very powerful and fun to use.

Windsurf

Cursor competitor, very similar functionality. Have not tried this one but it is supposedly good.

New image generator turning heads:
https://preview.reve.art/

Meet Reve Image 1.0
A new model trained from the ground up to excel at prompt adherence,
aesthetics, and typography. Sign up to experience a preview
and stay in the loop on future releases from Reve.

  • 20 free credits per day (which get prioritized over paid credits).
  • 100 bonus one-time free credits when you sign up (just an email/password).
  • Images look to be 1¢ a pop, with a $5 minimum order (500 images).
  • I don't see any option for a monthly plan at the moment, just a nice, convenient pay-as-you-go credit model.
Great images. Great prices. Great setup.

Midjourney v7 better bring the goods.

@Jared's Reve.art is FAST. 1000x faster than ChatGPT Image. I tried creating a 2030 version of the Dodge Viper, and it took probably an hour or so with ChatGPT with all the lag. With Reve.Art all this happened within 20 seconds.

I'd say Reve.art is more detailed, and simpler to use, but at the same time it's built from the ground up for image generation.

Here are the results of multiple prompts with ChatGPT Image:

Here are the results with Reve.Art:

The variations are more consistent with Reve.Art. But either way this is going to be a problem for digital artist - since now the average Joe will be able to create their own art/images for lower budgets. As usually the top-end guys will not have a problem. Artists that adapt and use the new A.I. technology will not have a problem - but a lot of amateur digital artist are dead in the water.

Then take the next level where random internet trolls can now make whole movies:

The old guard of digital art is breaking. You can create Apple level commercials with simple prompts now:

In the above scenario you saved money on a photoshoot, a model, make-up, and a host of other expenses for the AD image.

Time to go back to the trenches, cause it's getting brutal out here.

This rev thing is amazing.

It doesn't mangle banner formatting or not write the words you instruct it to correctly so I could see this being a godsend for web development purposes.
Its chat gpt quality but actually works and formats text like twitter.

@SmokeTree is going to hate me for giving these monkeys fire, but these two are too powerful to keep hidden for long. And realistically there aren't that many of you monkeys left here, so what harm can you apes do... most of you are already dead.

This is an A.I. web automation tool that runs within Chrome. "A free alternative to OpenAI Operator with flexible LLM options and multi-agent system."

I'm not sure what I would do with it just yet, but I would think scraping sites got a lot easier.

Here is there "See It In Action" portion:

Here are some powerful tasks you can accomplish with just a sentence:

1. News Summary:

"Go to TechCrunch and extract top 10 headlines from the last 24 hours"

2. GitHub Research:

"Look for the trending Python repositories on GitHub with most stars"

3. Shopping Research:

"Find a portable Bluetooth speaker on Amazon with a water-resistant design, under $50. It should have a minimum battery life of 10 hours"

But here is the real gold... Once you comprehend what we got here:

This is Zapier meets A.I. on steroids. And yes there is a free version you can run locally without paying.

There are over 500 integrations available like Twilio, WhatsApp, MYSQL, Telegram, Slack, Discord, Youtube, etc.

Here is the MYSQL with WhatsAPP integration idea: https://n8n.io/integrations/mysql/and/whatsapp-business-cloud/

Imagine a customer emails your gmail, n8n read it, send out a slack message to the corresponding user to check their email - starts simple.

But now we integrate A.I. and we can get really fancy. If you got WhatsApp, Telegram, and all hosts of places where customer can communicate with you through, you can monitor that and send it to the necessary person with their preferred way of communication.

That's simple level.

We can go deeper now. You can have this system create a customized response, solution, or whatever n8n integrates into.

It's basically Zapier with A.I. capabilities that you can run on local infrastructure.

My first thought is customer support.

But then when you add the capability for HTTP browsing and scraping, you can get real creative and clever with capabilities.

Basically you are integrating real-time data, A.I. with popular APPs/APIs already available. The limits are your creativity.

For most developers this seems like child's play since we just read an API and integrate into it on the backend, but now regular users can do it, and combine it with A.I. - that's a pretty significant closing of the gap between you mortals and us, Ancients of The Commandline.

You can do anything I can do now. I don't like that.

I mean obviously @SmokeTree won't allow me to give you nukes, but we'll give you fire. Because there is stuff, we just can't... it's too much.

So there is your fire - monkeys.
